Car Rental in Russia
You will need an International Driving License. You can rent a car for around 1500-2500 RUB a day. These are just guidelines, so do check with the car hire company to clarify the cost and documentation needed.
Speed limits are in kilometres per hour, and are as follows:
- Motorways: 100kph/65mph
- Open Roads: 90kph/55mph
- Built-up Areas: 60kph/37mph
Russians drive on the right-hand side of the road.
Severe weather and lack of maintenance make road conditions throughout Russia highly variable. Drivers should employ much caution to avoid accidents, which happen often.
