Thailand Emigration

A valid visa is needed for most business visits. There are case-by-case exceptions, details of which can be obtained from the Consular Section of the Royal Thai Embassy located in London. Visas are distributed in accordance with the reason for your visit. Your intentions must be unequivocally stated upon application. Failure to do so will undoubtedly result in delays.

The visas must be used within three months from the date of application. Upon arrival in Thailand, the period of your stay will be decided and warranted at the discretion of immigration officers. It will depend on the type visa you possess.

If your stay supersedes that of your visa, it could result in detention.

The Alien Occupation Law of 1973 requires all aliens working in the country to acquire a work permit prior to starting any employment.
