Banking
As in Britain, banking in Ireland is a familiar and straightforward process. You will find many of the banks you are used to dealing with in Britain. To open an account, you will need to provide the following documentation:
- A form of ID (passport)
- Proof of address
- Money for initial deposit
Most of the banks in Ireland offer telephone. Internet banking is available from the Bank of Ireland, AIB, Ulster Bank, Permanent TSB Bank and National Irish Bank (NIB). All the main banks issue a Laser debit card. Cash machines are widely available except in some rural areas.
