Egypt Emigration

A valid passport is needed by all foreign nationals and must be valid for at least six months following your intended stay.

Foreign nationals need to acquire valid entry visas to visit Egypt, with exceptions made for certain countries. Unfortunately, the UK is not an exception. Most visitors can obtain tourist visas - valid for up to one month - upon entry.

Tourist visas are given to foreign nationals visiting Egypt for recreational reasons, or to foreign nationals whose trip to Egypt will not exceed three months. It is possible to renew this visa via local authorities.

Work permits will be warranted to foreigners by the Ministry of Labour on a case-by-case basis. It takes about three months to process an application.
