Car Rental in Egypt
The renter must provide a credit card, passport and national or International driving license. You can rent a car for around 35-50 EGP a day. These are just guidelines, so do check with the car hire company to clarify the cost and documentation needed.
Speed limits are in kilometres per hour, and are as follows:
- Desert Motorways: 100kph/60mph
- Motorways: 90kph/56mph

Drivers enjoy the sound of their horns too. There aren't many road signs out there, but the ones you find will be in Arabic and English.
