British and EU citizens intending to stay in Spain for a continuous period of more than 90 days need not apply for a residence card, and are permitted to live in Spain with a valid passport. Also eligible under this new regulation are: employees, the self-employed, students, and EU nationals dependents on an EU or Spanish national.
