The Bourse Group

The Bourse group of companies is based in Guernsey and is one of the largest independently operated financial services companies on the Island.  Since its establishment in 1999, Bourse has expanded its operations from the provision of offshore trust services to being a provider of products and services in a variety of business areas.

Bourses growth is the result of its commitment to client requirements and has been achieved by a dedication to service excellence, as well as to the quality and the professionalism of our employees and consultants.  Bourse is committed to maintaining close relationships with its clients and their advisors.

Bourse operates from its quayside offices in St. Peter Port, Guernsey and has excellent professional contacts on the Island to enable the prompt transaction of business.

Management

The Bourse management team combines UK based training and experience with knowledge of the off-shore world.  While being pragmatic, Bourse is a fundamentally conservative, risk adverse organisation and this is reflected in the members of the management team.

Administration Teams

Bourse prides itself on the high level of customer service that it provides. All clients are allocated a dedicated administrator who is their primary Bourse contact.  The administrator is supervised by a senior administrator. Ultimately, the relevant Director is responsible for work performed.

Administrators work in teams to ensure smooth continuation of service in the event that the primary administrator is unavailable (e.g. on leave).

Bourse Charges

Charging models vary by product/service but Bourse will generally charge:

• an establishment charge;
• an annual administration charge; and
• (if applicable) other specified charges.

As many of its products and services are bespoke, Bourse does not normally publish standard charges for each product/service.

Security

Bourse takes its responsibilities as a trustee very seriously. Protection measures taken include:

• ring fencing of client monies and segregation from Bourse accounts;
• minimizing counterparty risk through custodian diversification; and
• appointment of independent auditors (currently Ernst & Young).

Bourse maintains appropriate levels of professional and indemnity insurance.

[In terms of computer systems, Bourse has invested in state-of-the-art systems and retains an in-house IT Manager and external IT experts. Bourse maintains and tests a comprehensive business continuity plan.]

Guernsey has an independent office of Public Trustee with the ability to step in to act as a trustee where, amongst other cases, it is necessary or desirable to act for the purposes of preserving the trust assets or otherwise in the interests of the beneficiaries.
