Getting to Switzerland
Flying into Bern will take around 1 hour 30 minutes.
Pets will need to be declared at customs without being prompted, but an import permit is not needed and quarantine is not necessary due to the PETS scheme. Check with the airlines for more details.
What is the PETS scheme?
The PETS scheme (Pet Travel Scheme) is an agreement which was made by several EU countries to allow the movement of pets between these countries free of quarantine regulations. Since its introduction, other non-EU countries which are free from the rabies virus have subscribed to the PETS scheme.
