Austria Customs
The internal market of the European Union is a single market which allows the free movement of goods and services. Therefore, no import duties apply.
Austria Export Documentation
Goods which are in free circulation within the EUcan move between member states without any documentation. This does not apply to excise or controlled goods, which still need documentation.
You should still send normal commercial documentation with the export such as invoices and packaging lists.
Commercial invoices should be forwarded in duplicate, or the merchandise has to be accompanied by a delivery note. Invoices should include:
- Address details
- VATregistration number of supplier and receiver
- Customs tariff number
- Net and gross weights
If the goods are being sent by post it is recommended that you use the supplied ‘postal pack’.
You should use a standard ‘Shipping Note’ to accompany goods for maritime dispatch. A ‘Dangerous Goods Note’ must be used for all hazardous goods.
