  1. Hello, I am interested in reselling an alcohol product that is in the US but I do not see available anywhere in Europe. I am in France and would like to set up an online company to resell this product. I would like some assistance with knowing the licenses required and regulations regarding this situation a and how to best set it up. Please let me know if you could assist with this. Thanks. Question from Angela Oriti-Niosi on 30/12/2021

    Patrick says:

Hello! My name's Lucas and I'm a business developer here at Maupard. We have a lot of experience in helping foreign companies set up and we would be happy to assist depending on the availability of our accountants. In order to find out more about your proposed activity in France, I have a few questions: - Could you provide a link to a company website or perhaps your Linkedin? What is your expected turnover in France? - Do you plan on hiring staff in France? If so, how many and would they be french nationals?- What is your time frame to set up your business? - Have you decided which type of entity you would like to set up (SAS, SARL, etc.)? - Will the French entity have a foreign parent company? Once we have this information I can present your project to our accountancy team with the aim of arranging a call to finalise how exactly we can help achieve your targets. If you could send the answers to these questions along with any other queries you may have to: l.paul@maupard.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

  2. Hello Patrick, We are an alcoholic popsicle company and I wanted to know, what the regulations are in this sector. Are there specific licences we would need to apply for and if so, what are they? Additionally, could we sell our products directly to supermarkets or do France have a three tier system like in the US? Thanks Question from Amara Obianuju on 08/11/2018
