Opening an account is very easy and smooth process. Different types of accounts include current accounts, salary accounts and savings accounts.
 
To open a bank account in Switzerland, you will be required to provide the following documents:
  • Passport
  • Proof of address
  • Evidence of your source of income

A minimum initial deposit will be required, and the amounts can vary from bank-to-bank.

Bank are generally open between 0800 and 1700, Monday to Friday. Cash machines are located throughout the country, and invariably accept foreign debit and credit cards.
