The local recruitment industry is well developed. Like any well-developed country, Austria has a large recruitment industry, both for professional and support staff.The education system produces well-educated and well-motivated staff. Austria ranks highly in terms of the quality of its education and in terms of the education meeting the requirements of the business world.The relatively low levels of unemployment combined with a rush to liberalise previously controlled industries, has meant that there are shortages of skilled staff in certain sectors. Please note that UK citizens interested to work in certain sectors might have to do an additional exam in Austria to prove their skills.Austria has a high per hour rate of pay and its generous social benefits system means that there are similarly high national insurance payments from both employers and employees.
