The increase in the minimum wage will have the following consequences, starting on January 1st., 2025:

Increase in the perception of workers who receive minimum wage

For the above and where appropriate, increase in vacation pay, vacation premium, awards and bonuses and so on.

  • Higher cost for the company in the event of layoffs of workers
  • Significant increase in the case of companies that pay overtime frequently for their operation
  • Adjustment in the worker's salary for Social Security
  • Increase in the payment of Social Security contributions, Retirement and Savings Fund, Housing fund
  • Increase in payroll tax
  • Any other benefit that could be based or related on the worker's salary

It will also be VERY important for companies to project different scenarios in case the issues that the authorities are currently discussing are approved:

A. Increase in the Christmas bonus from 15 to 30 days

B. Increase in the vacation premium from 25% to 50%
