Banking in Russia

Opening an account in Russia is a fairly easy process. There are branches of major international banks and many of commercial banks located across the country. As in the UK, you can choose a different account for different purposes. Cash machines are available throughout the country.

You can open a account with a major Russian bank from the UK. It will take you a few minutes to open an account and services you get will be familiar.

To open a bank account in Russia, you will be required to provide the following documentation:

• Form of ID (passport)
• Proof of address

And in some cases, a residency permit may be required
