The backlog of 150,000 applications of six months or older has been cleared.

Good news for anyone planning a move to the US. The Immigration service(USCIS) announced that the backlog of 150,000 applications of sixmonths or older has been cleared.The FBI will now begin processing the backlog of applications over 90days old. As part of increasing legislation against potential terroristthreats, the FBI name checks all applicants for citizenship rigorously.

Despite Americas well publicised financial worries there are stillmany thousands of potential immigrants. However, by June the USCIS target is to have all but the most difficult applications processedwithin 30 days.
