Update on Kazakhstan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has announced that the new rules of processing Kazakh visas were signed on June 1, 2013 and have come into force.
According to the new rules, UK passport holders now need to present the following additional documents to apply for a tourist visa:
Copy of travel insurance
Copy of ticket booking
A confirmation letter from a hotel
A detailed letter of introduction explaining purpose of visit
For business visas, the requirements for processing telex invitations have also changed – the invitations must now be requested no later than 14 calendar days before the provisional entry date.
