Do you know what a Direct Investment Ombudsman (OID) is?
The OID is an online platform for foreign investor assistance managed by the CAMEX Executive Secretariat. Considered as a single investment window, the OID is responsible for receiving queries and inquiries about investment-related areas, respondents together with others and their members should be involved in each case, i.e. CAMEX will be responsible for receiving an inquiry or questioning of the investor and officiating to the body, regulatory agency or superintendence, responsible for the appropriate information, presenting the process of focal points.
The idea of the platform is to offer the investor a simple form to question a government body about. After completing the electronic form, the investor will receive his protocol number, which should be used to follow the process.
Among the OID's competences, they stand out and are oriented towards new investors, aiming at making the necessary solutions to the questions presented, besides proposing the focus points in the legislation or in the adopted norms.
The organizations and entities that are part of the Network of Design Points are designated as servers of their structures as responsible for communicating with CAMEX and OID in their areas of knowledge, research and solutions to the inquiries of investors, in their area of competence.
