What is LLC?

Limited Liability Company is the most common form of business in UAE. An LLC can be formed by a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 50 shareholders whose liability is limited to their shares in the business capital.

The formal shareholding pattern for an LLC is a follows:

  • UAE National – 51 %
  • Non- UAE National- 49 %

** In distribution of profit and loss, 80% to the foreign investors and 20% to the UAE local sponsor.

Dubai Mainland license composed three categories:

  • Commercial license– covers all kinds of trading activity
  • Professional license– covers professional services, craftsmen and artisan
  • Industrial license-for establishing industrial or manufacturing activity

Documents required to obtain LLC license

For UAE Resident

  • License Registration Form
  • 3 proposed Name/s
  • Valid passport, visa page and Emirates ID copy
  • NOC from current sponsor
  • List of Activity
  • Clear Copy of Partner/s and Local Sponsor with Signature Page- valid at least 6 mos.

For Non – UAE Resident

  • License Registration Form
  • 3 proposed Name/s
  • Valid passport
  • Visit Visa
  • List of Activity
  • Clear Copy of Partner/s and Local Sponsor with Signature Page- valid at least 6 months.

How to Form LLC?

  • Select business activity
  • Select trade name
  • Apply for initial approval
  • Prepare court agreement
  • Establish business location
  • Submit & get approval
  • Issue payment voucher and pay license
