Asahi Kasei Concept Car „AKXY’s” first European presentation in Düsseldorf

On the occasion of the second Asahi Kasei Europe Business Forum on September 19 in Düsseldorf, the new drivable Asahi Kasei concept car was presented for the first time in Europe showcasing a wide range of automotive-related innovative products of the company. As innovation driver with its European headquarter in Düsseldorf the company is conducting research and development also in this region.

A special highlight was the lecture and participation of Dr. Akira Yoshino, the inventor of the lithium-ion-battery and present Honorary Fellow of the Asahi Kasei Corporation after longstanding employment by the company.

Mayor Thomas Geisel opened the event together with Hideki Tsutsumi, President of the Asahi Kasei Europe GmbH in Düsseldorf.
