fDi Magazine awarded Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) three awards in its yearly international Free Zone ranks. The three awards the DMCC received are the following: Middle East - fDi Free Zone of the Year, Middle East - fDi Free Zone of the Year for Small and Middle Enterprises (SMEs) and Global - fDi Free Zone of the Year.

Viewed as the most prominent free zone rankings globally, the fDi yearly international report, is based on a variety of features such as general performance through the year, development, growth as well as expansion projects and plans and growth of key industries. The DMCC was praised for its incomparable physical as well as digital services and outstanding infrastructure, allowing easy, quick and effective DMCC company set-ups in no time at all.

DMCC is home to more than 11 thousand companies and 85 thousand residents and workers. The three awards the DMCC received only prove that once again the DMCC free zone is the top business and trade hub in the world. Global Free Zone of the Year 2015 only confirms the DMCC ranking as the international centre for business operations as well as commodities. The DMCC has succeeded in attracting and enhancing businesses like no other destination across the world. DMCC’s success reflects His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), vision and leadership skills.

Motivated enthusiasts confirm that the DMCC’s success will continue to grow and attract more and more businesses due to their business oriented and innovative spirit and determination.

Ever since its launch in 2002, the DMCC has grown significantly. The DMCC is currently home to more than 11 thousand businesses that originate from about 170 countries. All these companies have chosen to set up their businesses in the DMCC Free Zone. Now, the DMCC’s member companies include John West Foods, Dyson, Carrera Y Carrera, American Express, Rio Tinto – Dimexon, Colgate-Palmolive, Lukoil, Oddfjell, TAG Worldwide, Alcatel Lucent, LVMH, Eurofin and Nutricia Danone.

The awards the DMCC has received only prove that the successful free zone has cemented itself as the strongest, most dynamic and active free zone across the UAE, the surrounding region as well as internationally. Through the years, the DMCC has created top-class faculties, considerable growth, top-quality services that attract investors as well as a variety of attractive incentives. Therefore, the DMCC has become a top destination for those looking to set up companies, operate and expand in the broader region and beyond.

The fDi Magazine survey revealed that the DMCC was amongst the top rankings across all the categories. In contrast to last year’s fDi Magazine annual awards, the DMCC surpassed all expectations and received even more awards. Currently, DMCC is considered the number one free zone in the world.

The Dubai state is extremely content that the DMCC has been renowned for its hard work, effective services and innovation as their hard work and determination has paid off. They look forward to growing and accomplishing even more in the future.

At present, the DMCC continues to attract global businesses looking to set up in the free zone. Furthermore, already registered companies continue to employ more workers; therefore, more job openings are continuously being opened. The DMCC mainly attributes its success to the fact it continuously introduces new goods and services to meet the increased demands and needs of its community. The DMCC is looking forward to the future with positivity.
