The number of new Cyprus company registrations continues to rise in 2018.

According to the Registrar of Companies the number of new Cyprus company registration rose 16 percent in April to 1,168 compared to the previous year.

In the first quarter of 2018 the total number of new Cyprus company registrations rose an annual 4.9 % to 5,009.

According to the Registrar the number of name applications rose 72% to 3,476 in April and 11% to 11,767 in the first quarter of 2018.

The issuance of certified company documents rose 11% to 26,690 in April and 2.4% in Q1 of 2018.

The submission of other company related documents rose 1.2 percent in April to 9,744 compared to April of the previous year and 4.3 % in Q1 of 2018 compared with the same period last year.

This is an indicator that Cyprus companies are still favoured for holding companies, international or regional headquarters and investment companies.

The continuously increasing number of new Cyprus company registrations is a proof that Cyprus remained the most beneficial international jurisdiction and place of business within the EU providing numerous advantages.
