IT specialists are now eligible for a ‘B Work Permit for Specialized Technicians’.

The permit can be used by foreign entities that send employees into Belgium to install or repair equipmentor software that has been designed or supplied by the overseas entity. The permit is for a maximum of 6 months and does not need to meet the usual minimum salary threshold (usually set at €39,422), nor does it need to satisfy educational of labour market testing requirements.
