Groceries prices going up

Everyone I have spoken to lately tell me that food prices have gone up loads lately in France. Is it because of the poor exchange rate or have prices just gone up? Please let me know what you think as it is a concern.

Thanks.

Re: Groceries prices going up

I have found that certain products that you could only buy in a deli in the UK are often found in a supermarket and are much cheaper than the UK. Paint is expensive and the quality isn't always great. Second hand cars are also over-priced.
