UAE construction sector workers to get best average pay hikes in 2015

The report by GulfTalent.com reveals that those working in the construction sector are likely to get the best average salary increase at 10 percent, followed by logistics with 7.7 percent hike.
The booming retail sector will dole out an average increment of 6.8 percent, while employees in healthcare will get a 6.3 percent pay hike this year.
Employees in real estate sector stand to get considerably huge pay hikes at 6.2 percent, in comparison to those in some of the other, more stable sectors like telecoms and IT at 5.9 percent, education at 5.8 percent and banking at 5.6 percent.
The lowest in the list of the sectors is hospitality with 5.5 percent salary increase, while oil and gas sector gets 5.4 percent pay increase.
Qatar is likely to see the best average pay hike at 8.3 percent, driven by cost of living and the growing need to attract talent for completion of projects. Qatar is followed by Saudi Arabia and UAE with 7.1 percent average pay hike, Bahrain at 7 percent and Kuwait has the lowest average pay hike at 5 percent this year.
The report is based on an online survey of more than 600 employers and 22,000 professionals and 60 interviews with executives and HR professionals conducted during the period December 2014 to April 2015.
