  2. Finding a business partner in Europe.

How do I find business partners in as many European countries as possible so that I can trade across Europe. I have no idea where I can make contact with people who would be interested. Does anyone have any contacts or ideas of where I should start?

Luxembourg Emigration

Nationals of the European Union do not need a visa to enter Luxembourg. However, if staying longer than 90 days, you are subject to various registration requirements.

In order to operate any sort of business or trade in Luxembourg, you must obtain permission from the Ministry of small businesses. To obtain permission, you must first submit documentation relating to the incorporation of the business or the setting up of a company or partnership. After you have submitted the necessary documentation and completed the required paperwork, you will then be issued with a business permit.

If you are planning on staying in Luxembourg for more than a year, you must apply for a foreigners' ID card. In order to obtain an ID card, you need to register with your commune where you will be given an application form along with a list of the documents required. These include:

  • Passport
  • Business permit
  • 3 passport sized photographs
  • Medical certificate
  • Tax stamp (Tax stamps must be obtained from an office of the department of the Ministry of Finance. EU nationals are entitled to a free tax stamp)

It can take up to a year for your ID card to be issued.
