The Bureau Dubai secures funding for expansion for their coworking ecosystem

Back to News

Just in time for to celebrate their one year anniversary, The Bureau Dubai, the first truly co-working space in Dubai has secured funding to expand their current space.

As an integral part of the startup scene in Dubai providing easy and affordable ways to set up small businesses they have seen an amazing response to their co-working space located in Souk al Bahar, Downtown Dubai since they opened in December last year.

“We are very excited about the news and it has been a complete team effort. We are already working on the expansion plans and will announce more details as they progress. In addition to the expansion of our space we will also be using some of the funding to create new initiatives to support local startups and small business such as free branding services through The Design Bureau and we are also working on developing an investment pool to fund innovative and unique ideas looking to start in Dubai” added Shahzad Bhatti, the General Manager and Co-Founder of The Bureau Dubai.

Plans include doubling the current space in the same building allowing them to provide over 5000 sq ft of facilities to startups and small business in Dubai. They will also be launching a new coworking concept called The Co-Working Cafe which will be located nearby in Souk Al Bahar, Downtown Dubai. This will be a unique space for entrepreneurs and startups to work from and meet in a trendy but professional environment. The Co-Working Cafe will also include The Lab, an innovation kitchen for the F&B Industry to research, create and test new products. The Lab has already created innovative products such as Whey 2 Go’s protein ice-cream.
