I am in talks with a business partner discussing the prospect of expanding his business to Jersey CI.

I need answers to the follwoing questions:

- How long does it take to set up?
- What is required?
- Cost?
- Licence for Recruitment Company?
- Restrictions on Non-Resident Director(s)
- Easier with Head Office in different locations? (e.g. Dublin)
- Do Directors need to be vetted by local authorities?

Jersey Company Formation can take up to two weeks from receipt of correct completed documentation. The documentation can be time consuming to collect. You will be asked to submit one personal questionnaire and one corporate questionnaire and to provide ID for each of the directors and shareholders of the company.

ID will generally be certified copies of passports and two original utility bills that are less than three months old together with the confirmation of the source of any funds put into the company.

Fees are around £3900 ex vat and includes the £200 charge payagle to the Jersey Financial Services Commission(JFSC). The fee includes bank account, registered office, company secretary, director and signatories)

Resident directors are required. I would suggest that we have a discussion as to how you wish to set up the business.because you may find that Jersey actually is not for you and you would be better off setting up in another jurisdiction.
